Kevin is one of those guys that does a little bit of everything.

Campfire Kev is just one of the many personas of entertainer/educator, Kevin Holladay.
Kevin is also
award-winning storyteller,
a singer/songwriter,
a playwright and actor,
a professional circus clown,
a stand-up comedian,
a motivational speaker,
and a former classroom teacher.
He says it keeps his life from getting boring. Here are just a few fun and interesting facts from the major categories of his life. Trust me, though, this only scratches the surface!! Kev:

Has only had 2 home phone numbers in his entire lifetime.

Loves the outdoors, camping, and rock climbing. He has camped in 35 of the 50 United States.

Named his truck Nancy.

Wrestled as a professional wrestler named Antman. He has been described as "61 pounds of pure terror."

Kevin has a degree in Playwriting. His plays have been performed in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Orlando, Los Angeles, and Bloomington, Indiana.

Has taught the theater arts to over 1,500 students in his lifetime. In the county-wide Herald-Times Mini Play Festival last year, Kevin's playwriting students took 1st place in the High School division and 3rd place in the Elementary division.

Has directed plays with actors ranging from 3 to 94 years old.

Circus:

Kevin has performed with 6 different circuses, and has created several different clown characters.

His first (and favorite) character is a clown police officer named Keystone.

Stood on stage at a 1996 Olympic Torch lighting ceremony as a clown for Circus America.


Lived in the back of a semi-truck trailer for 6 weeks.

Once used a 20 pound raw turkey as a puppet.

Education:
Kevin has worked as a daycare provider, montessori assistant, camp counselor, and kindergarten teacher.

Has taught everything from performance art to junk percussion to prehistoric civilizations.

Received a grant in 1994 to tour his Dealings with Feelings show to inner city and Title 1 schools around Indiana.

Hated math until becoming a kindergarten teacher. Has since offered practical math workshops to teachers all around the state.

Despite his love of performing for children, Kev still offers programming to teachers and other adults. Workshops are available in conflict resolution, working with a budget, and team building.

Kev also appears as a motivational speaker. He has programs on Reaching Your Dreams, the Pitfalls of Substance Abuse, and more!
